The HIV Partners Entry tile is used to record the contact investigation work for all human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) cases. This application allows a clinician to save a list of potential partners (and their respective investigation details) for each index case. The HIV Partners Search tile is read-only and is used to search for an existing HIV case, partners, and anonymous partners.
Partners entered in this application can be anonymous, unlike other areas in PARIS where specific client identifiers are required. This means that partner investigation and documentation can occur regardless of whether or not the partner’s name, date of birth, gender, or address is known.
Information entered in the HIV Partners tiles is not saved to a client’s PARIS record, regardless of whether or not a partner’s PARIS ID is used to pull their demographics into the application (see Search for HIV Case or Partners for more details).
