The Home Support Orders (HSO) application is used to document service order details for clients receiving Home Support Services including:
Type of service (Convalescent, Long Term, or Palliative)
Tasks
Care requirements
Authorized Hours and Pattern of Service
Effective dates.
For policies and guidelines on the clinical application of Home Support (e.g. client eligibility, service and task definitions, appropriate hours, etc.) please refer to the VCH Home Support Guidelines found on the Intranet.
A client can have many home support orders over time, each of which represents what was ordered during that specific time frame.
Location of the Home Support Orders Application
Once logged into PARIS, the Home Support Orders application is found within the Home Support tile on the Home Screen. Other application tiles relevant to Home Support are also available in the Home Support tile and can be accessed when needed.
HSO Changes and Updates
Any change or update to an order is always captured with a new order.
Changes may include: type, tasks, hours, dates etc.
Updated Information may include: care information
