Referral Entered in Error
E.g.: Referral created that was not supposed to be created.
- Client NEVER received service with your Team or
- Referral was created or copied more than one time,
- Wrong referral Type was selected
Use the Referral ID to check and make sure no Assessments/Care Plan or Activities are attached to the ‘bad’ Referral. In the Referrals Application, open the Referral
1. Referral Reason: Change to ENTERED IN ERROR (code = EIE)
2. Press F12 to Save
3. Go to Discharge Application, open referral marked ENTERED IN ERROR
4. Reason: Select ENTERED IN ERROR (code = ERR)
5. Press F12 to Save
- Referral will not count on stats
Referral with attached assessment or plan
Use the Referral ID to check and make sure no Assessments/Care Plans are attached to the ‘bad’ Referral.
1. If you haven’t already, create a “good” Referral
2. Mark the Assessment/Care Plan items attached to the ‘bad’ referral as entered in error. Follow the Entered in Error workflow for each item.
- Copy the Assessment to the “good” Referral
'Old' Group Referrals: Group Referral Copied in Error
1. Open the client with the Entered in Error Referral
2. Referral Reason: Change to “Entered in Error”
3. Click the Group facilities button in the Referral toolbar and select “Show Associated Group Information” from the drop-down menu
4. Highlight the name of the client whose Referral you wish to remove from the group
5. Click Remove row
6. Click Yes in confirmation window “Remove selected person from Group?”
7. Click Accept to ‘Associated Group details’ window
8. Discharge the Entered in Error Referral
NOTE: Once the link is removed, the Referral is no longer associated with the group but remains on the client’s record.
