Add a New Case
1. Click on the TB Entry tile or New case in the TB Search tile.
2. Click on the Add a form icon.
3. Double click on COMMUNICABLE DISEASE-REGIONAL in the Owner key lookup screen. Select TB ENTRY in the Associated forms lookup screen.
4. Enter all information regarding the index case, if known.
Some important fields include:
| Case ID | Panorama ID of the case. Click Unknown if applicable. |
| PARIS ID | Click on the magnifying glass to search for the case in PARIS. The case’s PARIS ID, first name, and last name will be automatically populated from the person search. This is not required but can save time entering client information. |
| Outbreak (if applicable) | Enter only if provided by Public Health Surveillance Unit |
| VCH Contacts Identified | The overall number of VCH contacts identified before clinical judgement is used to narrow down the number of contacts to be screened. |
5. If there are contacts screened outside of the VCH region, complete the Other Provider Contact Investigation Information section.
6. Click on Save.
Edit a Case
1. Select the appropriate case from the Cases grid in the TB Search tile. For help searching for a specific case, please refer to the Search for TB Case or Contact page for more details.
2. Double-click on the TB case or click on Edit Case. It jumps to the TB Entry tile.
3. The Cases window opens, and case details can be added or modified.
4. Click on Save to save your changes.
