The Immunization Adverse Event node in Clinical Summary displays the Adverse Event Following Immunization (AEFI) History for a client. There are two grids:
1. Immunization Adverse Events (January 27, 2021 and Onwards)
- Displays the immunization adverse events recorded using the BCCDC AEFI Case Report Form (2019)
- Form Status column indicates the status of the form (i.e. Initiated, Under Review by MHO/Designate, Community Follow-up Required, Completed, and Entered in Error.)
- Go to form button will be enabled for staff with access to Immunizations Clinical or Immunizations Clerical. Click the Go to form button to open the selected AEFI form.
- Print form button enables all staff to generate the AEFI report to view or print
2. Immunization Adverse Events (Prior to January 27, 2021)
- Read-only grid which displays the immunization adverse events recorded using an older version of the BCCDC AEFI Case Report Form
- Print form button enables staff to generate the report from Clinical Summary. The report is also available in Immunization Reports and Report Finder.
Clinicians involved with immunizations record the events in the A.E.F.I. Entry app. The Communicable Disease Medical Health Officer or Designate reviews the adverse immunization event and records recommendation(s) related to the adverse event.
Staff with access to Immunizations Clinical or Immunizations Clerical can also view the immunization adverse events for a client in the A.E.F.I. History application.
