Language Guidelines:
Main Language is mandatory in some Assessments but must be entered from Central Index. When registering a new person it‘s good practice to ask clients about English comprehension and language(s) spoken.
Noting language(s) in Central index communicates to all users whether there is a need for interpreters and a client’s ability to read and understand instructions about care.
Entering multiple languages and details about those languages increases the likelihood of being able to communicate with the client.
Main Language:
Main Lang. Field should display the client’s primary language.
