Enter an Immunization Suspension
The Immunization Alerts Application is used to record any immunization alerts, suspensions and contraindications for a client.
Note, upon the initial save of the A.E.F.I. Entry Form, an Immunization Alert will be automatically created.
Entering an Immunization Alert automatically creates the alert “Immunization Alert” in general Alerts. Some Immunization Alerts create suspensions or contraindications for the antigen.
Alerts Additional Information: The following Alerts will remove antigens from the clients Planned immunization schedule
- Had Disease
- Anaphylaxis
- Immunization Dissent
- HLTH 2369 Form Dissent
- Alerts with a date in the ‘To’ field, will disappear from the Immunization Alerts grid on the day after the “To” date.
- End dated Alerts are viewable by clicking the Historic filter button.
Enter an Immunization Alert
1. In Immunization Alerts grid, click Insert a row and the Alerts entry window appears:
2. To enter the Immunization alert, enter the following fields:

Antigen: Press F4 or click
, select antigen from picklist. If alert is not about a specific antigen, such as an Alert about fainter or fighters, select All Antigens

Alert type: Press F4 or click
, select the appropriate Alert Type. Alert selection changes depending on Alert Type selected see the table on the next page

Alert: Press F4 or click
, select appropriate Alert.
- From: Enter today’s date
- Authoriser type: Defaulted to INTERNAL TEAM-OTHER
- Authoriser: This will default to the name of the person logged into PARIS but can be amended if required
3. Click Accept Changes and press F12 to Save.

Enter an Immunization Suspension
1. In Suspensions grid, click Insert a row, and the Suspensions entry window appears:
2. To enter an Immunization Suspension, enter the following fields:
- Type: Select Immunizations from the drop-down menu
- Level: Select All Antigens or Antigen
- Antigen: Select relevant Antigen. If All Antigens is selected in the Level field, Antigen will be defaulted to Immunization Programme
- From: Enter today’s date
- Reason: Select the appropriate Reason from the picklist
3. Click Accept Changes and press F12 to Save.
This section displays a list of current contraindications. Some immunization alerts will automatically create a contraindication.
If you select the Alert as: ANAPHYLAXIS:
The Contraindications grid will be populated after clicking Accept Changes.
