Enter an Address
Address must be entered through the Personal Details section of the Central Index.
NOTE: Do not correct or modify client addresses in the Addresses grid of the Addresses/Locations node. Any address changes made in this section will NOT be reflected in the Banner bar or Personal Details page.
In the Details section of Personal Details:
1. Enter Postal Code.
2. Click Find address to look up address FIRST, and verify the details are correct.
You will likely have more than one choice available when you search by postal code. You can scroll through list and use the arrow symbol to expand a row in order to refine the search. The building and/or apartment number may be needed to further refine the address entry.
3. Select the correct address & press F12 to Save
NOTE: The Unit or Apartment number will need to be added at the beginning of the mailing address, not entered in a separate row.
Some addresses have building names associated with them in Paris, and these will usually populate the Address (line 1) field. If this happens the address will need to be manually edited to display the following:
Address (line 1): Apartment or unit number (if applicable) <space or dash> Building Number <space> Street Name <space> (appropriate St. type abbreviation) N, S, E, or W (Must be last)
Line 2: Building name
Line 3: Leave blank
- If the address is not found or is incorrect then you should enter it as manual in the free text as below. Sensitive information (buzzer number, lockbox number, etc.) should NEVER be recorded in the Address section. It is entered in the Address/locations section described in the next section.
For manual address entry use the following format:
Apartment or unit number (if applicable) <space or dash>
Building Number <space>
Street Name <space> (appropriate St. type abbreviation)
N, S, E, or W (Must be last)
Line 2 can contain the building name
Town/City name should be entered in full
Province enter the 2 character Canada Post abbreviation (e.g. BC)
Addresses/Locations section of the central Index
Under the Address/locations section of the Central Index the first Banner Addresses displays a list of all addresses for the client entered in PARIS, including any previous addresses.
NOTE: Do not correct or modify client addresses in this section. Any changes made here will NOT be reflected in the Banner bar or Personal Details page.
Address changes should be entered in Central Index under the Personal Details section using the process described above, starting with the clients postal code.
The Address Direction section should be used for details regarding accessing the client’s home (if applicable).
Enter the client’s buzzer code in the Buzzer Code free text box
The Address Directions free text area is for specific details for access such as lock box code or building access instructions:
- “use back door”
- “key under the mat”
-
“Next door neighbor on the right has a spare key”
NOTE: In this case, neighbor should be entered in Unregistered Contacts with an Association of Key Holder.
